My name is Dean Stocker and I have owned and operated Comprehensive Realty Inspections for over 15 years. I am an ASHI-Certified Inspector. I put in over 20 years of supervisory experience in commercial and residential construction before I started my Home Inspection business.
After working in the construction industry for over 20 years, I decided to go into business for myself. The move has been very rewarding, and I enjoy working with first-time home-buyers, as well as those that are preparing to sell their homes. My approach is very pragmatic and personable, and have discovered that the clients and agents that I do business with appreciate my unique approach.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio. My career started in Houston, Texas, at a local department store, as the construction/production/remodeling manager. I went on to TJ Maxx and Ross Stores as a construction project manager for several years. I have also run construction departments at Bebe stores and the Great Mall in Milpitas.
I acquired a home inspection franchise in 2001 and became an independent home inspector in 2009. As a Certified ASHI Inspector, I receive ongoing training and get the latest news on developments in the Home Inspection Industry. I am looking forward to sharing some of what I have learned here in my Blog, so that others can benefit from my many hours in this industry.
What sets me apart from other home inspectors is that, along with your fully detailed Home Inspection Report, I provide a fully-customized green evaluation. I have extensive knowledge of all types of building materials as well as plumbing, electrical, heating, waste and other home systems. I have worked with these elements to such an extent that I know their entire histories, from where and how they’re made, to how efficiently they break down or biodegrade, and to what extent they can be re-purposed.
I also keep up with new materials and systems that are on the market that are not only more environmentally-friendly but cost-effective as well. I am happy to have you come along on my inspection and ask questions, so I can show you exactly what I’m finding—and I provide a full report within 24 hours upon request. Thoroughly trained and fully insured for both Errors and Omissions and General Liability, I am happy to answer any questions you might have regarding your property inspection—just click here.
